High Springs City Commission Selects New Manager
Ashley Stathatos Chosen as New Manager for City of High Springs
High Springs, FL. — The High Springs City Commission has selected Ashley Stathatos of Anna, Texas as the city’s new manager. Ms. Stathatos comes to High Springs with over twenty years of
local government experience working for cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Most recently, Ms. Stathatos worked with the City of Anna, Texas, where she served in management roles in Economic Development, Planning and Neighborhood Services. Previously,
She was City Manager in Justin, Texas; Haslet, Texas; and Oak Point, Texas. Prior to becoming a City Manager, she held various other municipal positions and worked as a consultant for GSBS
Architects of Fort Worth, Texas.
“I am so happy to be coming to High Springs. It is a charming city with so much opportunity,” said Ms. Stathatos. “I cannot wait to meet with the residents of the community and the city leaders to learn more about their vision for High Springs. I am looking forward to getting started, meet the team and work with the Mayor and City Commission to achieve their goals.”
Stathatos has a background in economic development, planning, growth management, capital projects, fiscal sustainability, process improvement and community-consensus building. She holds a
Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Tech.
“I have worked in a number of smaller communities with great opportunities. Economic development is about attracting talent to your community. It is also about putting conditions in place to grow for our existing businesses,” said Stathatos.
Ms. Stathatos succeeds Joel DeCoursey, Jr. Her first day will be November 30th.
