Mary Reichardt will lead the marketing and communications team for best-in-class real estate developer Concept Companies, established in 2004, and headquartered in Gainesville, Florida. Reichardt, a 15-year veteran in the field and a 2005 graduate of the University of Florida, has a diverse portfolio of marketing, communications, and public relations work that influenced the hire. Her work in the tourism sector as Director of Marketing for Alachua County, and experience in the private sector for Gainesville startup company Reserveage Nutrition, grown at a breakneck pace from zero to $70 million in revenue in four years, has led to a firm understanding of the business, visitor and local culture in Alachua County. She has managed PR, communications, and all media relations from local media to working closely with The Wall Street Journal, Vogue Magazine, Women’s World, Chain Store Age, Shopping Center Business, QVC, The Dr. Oz Show, and GMA to name a few.
“I feel like all my experience to this point has led me to this exciting opportunity with Concept Companies. Working with companies that are growing extremely quickly and accomplishing so much for the community is something I feel privileged to be a part of, and the culture of candor, autonomy, mutual respect and fun here has further solidified my decision to join. This leadership absolutely loves what they do and the community they impact every day. They, like me, live, work and raise families here, and want to make thoughtful, sustainable contributions to our area’s growth and success. I’m proud to be a part of that.”
Most recently Reichardt served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Butler Enterprises, one of the state’s largest privately owned shopping centers spanning 300 acres and hosting 2 million square feet of retail and food and beverage in Gainesville, Florida. In addition to responsibilities leading the company’s marketing team, she was an instrumental part of the leasing and development division that attracted and secured highly sought-after and new-to-market tenants Whole Foods Market, The Cheesecake Factory, REI, Anthropologie, Total Wine, and much more.
“As a fast-growing company with a big vision for continuing to impact and add value to our community at home, as well as with our development projects nationwide, we understand the importance of growing our team in alignment with our expanding company. Mary’s industry experience and market expertise are a great combination for leading our excellent team already in place. In the over 70 new hires we’ve made in 2022, we’ve clearly sought candidates with a mission-oriented mindset that will adopt and keep at the forefront our core values of ‘agility,’ ‘candor,’ ‘collaboration,’ ‘community,’ ‘growth,’ ‘own-it,’ and ‘relentlessness,’ and feel Mary’s work and values certainly exemplify these,” said Concept Founder and CEO Brian Crawford.
Two significant assets that will be a strategic focus for Reichardt from day one are Progress District in Alachua and Innovation District in the heart of Gainesville where Concept Companies has made a significant investment.
Progress District is a 600-acre mixed-use research community being developed alongside The Roberts Companies, in Alachua, Florida that merges established biotech clusters founded in academia, with ecotourism, community, single and multi-tenant housing, and retail. It comprises six areas, each contributing to the district’s overall vision and mission – to provide a modern research community designed for progressive entrepreneurs and companies, rich in civil life, and connected by nature. The first phase of the Progress District will be The Convergence, anchored by Momentum Labs, with the goal of adding additional retail, residential, and tech for a truly mixed-use experience.
The Innovation District, a cutting-edge urban tech and research hub anchored by the UF Innovate Incubator. This walkable urban tech and business community is home to over 80 thriving businesses. Located steps from Gainesville’s vibrant downtown and the nation’s fifth ranked public university, Innovation District offers premium office, restaurant, lab and retail space.
