What about Greater Gainesville stood out when comparing it to your other options?

As soon as we moved here from Mississippi, we immediately fell in love with the Gainesville culture and community! Driving around town for the first time, I was struck by the activity going on all around—people were biking to work, running around the block, playing with their little ones at the park, and just enjoying being outside and active. Being triathletes, hikers, and general fitness enthusiasts ourselves, it was obvious that Gainesville’s fit-minded culture would be the perfect place for us to call home!

What is your favorite local food?

On Saturday mornings, we tend to treat ourselves to fluffy, rich, and oh-so-decadent croissants from Upper Crust Productions bakery followed later by a delicious meal at home with amazing meats and veggies from the Alachua County Farmers Market—all drizzled with mouthwatering olive oils and balsamic vinaigrettes from locally owned and operated Saporito Olive Oil, Vinegar, and Spice. Yum! Saturdays are also great for bringing the baby on a hike through Devil’s Millhopper or San Felasco State Park. On Sundays we tend to venture further across town, often attending a donation-based yoga class followed by music and delicious local craft beer at First Magnitude Brewery—which is kid-friendly and super fun!
