SUPPORTING RESEARCH AROUND THE GLOBE
The University of Florida is proud to be a leader in fostering international understanding, and in developing the networks of students and scholars who collectively work to build a brighter future for the world. The UF International Center’s (UFIC) mission is to serve and support the entire UF community in this effort.
UFIC administers programs for over 6,600 international students and sent almost 2,700 UF students to study abroad last year. Managing hundreds of collaborative agreements with partner institutions across the world, UFIC supports thousands of international trips for research, teaching and collaboration.
Other UFIC programs prepare our students to excel in a globalized world. Through the International Scholars Program, students develop the skills and knowledge to effectively navigate international contexts and increase their competitiveness in the global market for talent. UF ranked second among large schools on the Peace Corps’ list of top volunteer-producing colleges and universities in 2020.
UFIC also works with units and colleagues across the university to help encourage and support our faculty’s international research engagements. Our Office for Global Research Engagement develops and manages initiatives intended to enhance UF’s faculty international collaborations and to provide support and advice for research around the globe.
The International Center is here to support UF’s preeminence as a global leader!
