For the sixth consecutive year, the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation presents Noche de Gala: Oasis, to be held on October 26, 2013 on the spectacular grounds of Besilu Collection in Micanopy, Florida.
Bringing an evening of elegance and philanthropy to the residents in North Florida, including supporters from around the state, the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation expects another sold out event, all in support of children. The funds raised at this year’s event will benefit the UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital project that is underway at the University of Florida.
Keith Watson Events will yet again bring this magical event to life. “This year, we are thrilled to create Noche de Gala: Oasis, a very colorful, Moroccan inspired theme where guests will feel they have been taken to an island full of life and hope, where magical things happen. In line with the new UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida, this new dedicated children’s hospital will serve as a safe place full of hope and healing for children and their families,” said Keith Watson.
Noche de Gala has played a very important part over the past five years to help spread the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation’s mission and raise critical awareness around the children’s hospital project at the University of Florida.
The Sebastian Ferrero Foundation is proud to partner and support UF Health’s vision for a hospital designed and operated exclusively for children and their families, with separate treatment rooms on every floor to maintain family privacy, and private patient rooms with ample space for patients and family members. The Foundation supports a fully integrated facility and environment that will attract and retain leading pediatricians to conduct world-class research in children’s diseases, pediatric medicine and will foster innovative treatments.
A mission this great cannot be done alone. Since the inception of the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation in 2007, countless pediatricians, pediatric specialists, community leaders, business owners and parents have united to support this mission. Additionally, leaders from around the state of Florida and beyond have come together to form the 2013 Noche de Gala Event Leadership Team. U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, Congressman Ted Yoho and UF President Bernie and First Lady Chris Machen will serve as this year’s honorary chairs. Event Chairs are Jon and Kelly Pritchett of Gainesville, with Silvia and Benjamin León Jr. as the hosts and world-renowned artist Romero Britto as Foundation Ambassador.
“We are honored to have strong support for our sixth annual Noche de Gala fundraiser from our Gainesville community and across the state,” said Lesley Cox, executive director of the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation. “As we consider the progress that we’ve already made, we are extremely thankful to those across the state who have partnered with us in our mission.”
Noche de Gala isn’t just a fundraiser. It is a union of like-minded professionals, community leaders and parents who believe the only way to ensure children in this region receive the best in healthcare is to bring that vision to life, by bringing a fully integrated pediatric facility to the University of Florida, that will further resonate in Florida and throughout the nation.
