Brian Scarborough of Scarborough Insurance has been elected vice chairman of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA).The election, which took place at the 110th Annual Convention of the FAIA,marks the beginning of a three-year leadership process that will allow Scarborough to serve as chair of the FAIA in 2016.

Janice Krieger named director of the STEM Translational Communication Program at the University of Florida.Krieger comes to UF from The Ohio State University’s School of Communication, where she serves as an assistant professor. Her primary research focuses on health and interpersonal communication. Hired as a part of the UF Rising program, she will actively work in the university’s push to become a top 10 public research university.
Kevin Coulson joins the team at PRO iNK Communications as the director of communications. In this role, Coulson will collaborate to strengthen client relationships, enhance communications and achieve strategic goals. Coulson is actively involved in the Gainesville community through the Advertising Federation of Gainesville, AMIkids, the Florida Public Relations Association, the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Gainesville Alumni Association.
Mike Garrett, formerly of O2BKids, Grooveshark and Fracture, has joined the team at Solar Impact as the director of sales and marketing. He will be helping the company expand to new commercial and residential markets while also building out marketing, advertising and renewable energy education efforts.
