As a fourth generation realtor, Kristen Rabell is following her family’s passion of helping others find their perfect home investment. Born and raised in Gainesville, Kristen chose her hometown to start Rabell Realty Group and is an active member of the community.
After living out of state for 10 years, my life took an unexpected turn and I returned to Greater Gainesville for health reasons. After visiting specialists in a larger city, I came back for an appointment at Shands Hospital. The doctors here were finally able to diagnose my acute lymphocytic leukemia and transfer me to the bone marrow transplant unit for treatment.
Without this incredible team, I may not have survived. I met many people that traveled from hours away for the services we have at our doorstep. We have a true gem in our local health care facilities.
Returning to the area helped me remember the outdoor beauty this area offers. With access to oceans, lakes, rivers, quarries, springs, forests and prairies, the great outdoors is around nearly every corner.
Living in Greater Gainesville provides a healthy environment for all ages. We are fortunate to be able to hike, bike, fish, kayak, canoe, boat or relax in the sun for some much-needed Vitamin D. You can pass deer grazing, watch foxes playing, find birds of prey, see alligators and enjoy the beautiful wilderness that surrounds us. Sports fans can attend athletic events and cheer on the top-ranked University of Florida teams.
I’ve always loved the hometown feel in a growing city. As a college town, it is an affordable, culturally expressive community with stable economies and a young, well-educated population.
I returned to find a thriving, smart, active, beautiful city that was perfect for me to raise a family and start a business. I have enjoyed watching Greater Gainesville grow with infrastructure, business, industry, population and innovation.
I came back for the health care facilities, but I stay for the lifestyle advantages this unique area has to offer.
