If home is where the heart is, then the heart of a Tioga home can be found here.
When the Snodgrasses sought to build a custom home inspired by a Belgian-style farmhouse, they tapped Luis Diaz of Dibros Design and Construction to execute their vision. As a builder who always seeks new challenges and inspiration, Diaz was up for the task and set out to add a modern version of a Belgian farmhouse to the Town of Tioga neighborhood.
It all began with a picture.
With a picture of the dream farmhouse kitchen in hand, the design and building process began. From hand-scraped hickory floors to custom hand-crafted light fixtures brought in from Connecticut, no detail was spared. Walk through the double-door entry, and the Snodgrasses vision is clear. The soaring vaulted ceilings with solid white pine beams and a state-of-the-art kitchen meld effortlessly. A pass-through fireplace separates the kitchen and dining area from the living room. Plenty of high windows allow light to saturate the space. The home’s layout is centered around the kitchen and living room — the main gathering areas.
The home includes amenities that allow for relaxation and indulgence. Off the master is a gym with infrared sauna, cold tub and a ballet bar, which opens out to a pool and outdoor built-in kitchen with a wood-burning pizza oven — the lot was maximized for outdoor area usage. A sizable covered porch – with retractable screens – makes the backyard perfect for entertaining.
According to Diaz, there are three things he makes sure to include in every home he builds: construction quality, architectural honesty and energy efficiency. These qualities are evident in the Snodgrass home.
Diaz has been building in Gainesville for twenty years and continues to contribute fresh, innovative structures to the area. The Town of Tioga is what it is today because of his ability to execute inspired ideas.
The Snodgrass home made its Parade of Homes™ debut on April 5th. Scores of visitors walked through the home planning their own versions of a dream home.
The single-story home with an understated exterior and overflowing with charm and comfort is the perfect addition to the tree-lined Tioga neighborhood.
