Want to find the perfect way to thank Dad for all he has done for you? With an array of different Father’s Day activities offered around Greater Gainesville, you’ll be sure to find an event that will leave Dad smiling.
Start off your Sunday with some axe throwing! Dads throw free this Sunday at The Hatchetbury, and this unique activity will make this year’s Father’s Day celebration one to remember. Located in downtown Gainesville, this axe-citing event will give you and your dad a chance to blow off some steam and throw axes at targets in the facility’s specially constructed axe throwing lanes.
If your dad is looking for an equally exciting event that does not involve throwing sharp objects, Zip the Canyons is offering a Father’s Day ziplining deal. Dads zip free on Sunday, as you zoom over Big Cliff Canyon or over the treetops at this Ocala adventure park. The views will leave any father breathless!
Maybe your dad loves the outdoors, but wants a more relaxing way to celebrate the day. Father’s Family Fishing Day at the UF IFAS catching ponds are free to all families. Anglers can expect to catch bream (bluegill, red-ear sunfish, warmouth), largemouth bass, and channel catfish in this 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. event.
For some indoor family time, Skate Station Funworks and Splitz Bowling are offering free activities for dads who participate with their children. Roll around the rink or throw a few spares as you bond with Dad on his special day.
After all of these activities, Dads are likely to want to chill with a nice cold brew. At Blackadder Brewing, any father can show up for a free brew. Located just minutes from Downtown and featuring over 40 taps, unwind at Blackadder after a fun day.
No matter how you choose to celebrate the important father in your life, there is no doubt that he will be grateful you took the time to plan out a fun-filled Father’s Day.
