United Way of North Central Florida
Deborah is the president and CEO of the United Way of North Central Florida, which serves six counties in the region including Alachua. Prior to United Way, Deborah served as vice president of chamber development for the Gainesville (Florida) Area Chamber of Commerce, where she headed up membership and business development, events and directed the Leadership Gainesville program.
Deborah began her career in nonprofit management as a vice president for community development at the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce. Later, she served as a registered lobbyist in southwest Georgia, where she led a delegation to Washington annually to advocate for continued funding for the Marine Corps Logistics Base and Logistics Command in Albany, Georgia, during a time of unprecedented cuts to the military. Deborah is the proud mother of four, including a set of triplets.
