Santa Fe College is indebted to the selfless service provided to our country by our veterans and their families. SF’s Veterans and Military Success Services (VMSS) offers a holistic approach to helping veterans and their families pursue their educational goals. SF has also been named a “Best for Vets” and “Military Friendly” school.
We have a thorough understanding of Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) educational benefits and provide information and referrals.
TOP 10 REASONS
1.Numbers don’t lie.
SF was ranked #1 in Florida’s State College system in 2018, and was named #1 in the nation in 2015.
Military Times ranked SF as a “Best for Vets” college for 2019. (It helps to be an official U.S. DVA VetSuccess on-campus site.)
3.Stretch your GI Bill further.
Transfer after two inexpensive years or pursue one of SF’s $10-15K bachelor’s degrees.
4.Sit around and wait? Nope.
SF Foundation’s Veterans Bridge Scholarship allows recipients to start school before GI benefits kick in.
Take online, evening and weekend classes on the Northwest Campus or at one of our six centers.
6.Low teacher-to-student ratios.
Classes are limited to 30 students and professors are readily accessible.
7.Support for disabled vets.
The Disability Resource Center is on SF’s Northwest Campus. The Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center is less than 10 miles away.
8.A culture of respect.
In every decision, college administrators consider the needs of our veterans. Ask another vet. It matters.
9.Vets helping vets.
VMSS provides career guidance, academic advising and veteran-specific support.
