WHAT HAVE THE HIGHLIGHTS AND CHALLENGES BEEN OF GROWING ADAM’S RIBS?
There are quite a few highlights. Building a community-oriented business that allows us to make customers happy is at the top, plus building a solid team that helps us be better. As with any business, there are challenges maintaining and growing a successful business — luckily, the highlights far outweigh the challenges.

HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN A WORK-LIFE BALANCE?
It’s a constant juggling act. I make sure to make time for my family when I am not working. Last year, we decided to close on Sundays in order to make sure our team members had quality time with family.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ABOUT RUNNING A BUSINESS WITH YOUR SPOUSE?
Patience.

WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
The best advice I have ever been given was to make time for myself. It is easy to focus all my time and energy on the business and everyone else — making sure I am at 100 percent is vital.
