Paradise Found

Create your very own piece of paradise – right in your own backyard.

The climate in Florida allows its gardeners to enjoy blooms all year long. In most parts of Florida, gardeners can have blooming plants throughout the year. While gardeners to the north are mulching their flower beds and preparing their plants for the long winter sleep, gardeners in the sunshine state are preparing for another colorful bloom season.

Using a drought tolerant Bahia sod brought a soothing green back into the space, while at the same time being tough and ultra durable. Many have only thought of Bahia sod as a rough field grass, but these homeowners love it.

Water was not the only thing being saved with a native lawn grass like Bahia. Another benefit was abandoning the idea that plants need to be sprayed all the time. By selecting Florida friendly plants, a lush, tropical look can be maintained without constant pesticides or fungicides. ‘Golden
Glow’ rudbeckia and ‘Fire Cracker’ russelia add color at different times of the year, all while attracting hummingbirds and butterflies to the landscape. Tranquility has been achieved!
