GAINESVILLE, Fla.–Gainesville-based ToneRite Inc. will host its first show as part of the ToneRite Artist Program 10 p.m. Friday October 25 at The JAM.
The show will feature Tony Franklin and Lindsey Boullt, two ToneRite artists and globally-recognized musicians. They will be accompanied by local Gainesville vocalist Fae Nageon De Lestang and drummer Chad Voight. The group will perform until 11 p.m., when Jahman Brahman of Asheville, NC will take the stage.
Franklin, a bass player, has played with Roy Harper, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, as well as various other musicians like David Sherinian and, most recently, Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Boullt has played with Stu Hamm, Atma Anur and Jerry Goodman, among others.
Both artists are coming to Gainesville as part of the ToneRite Inc. Artist Program. As ToneRite artists, musicians endorse products and must play in Gainesville at least once a year.
“It is our goal to bring the music scene back to Gainesville,” says ToneRite CEO Valerie Sheehan. “The Artist Program is one way we’re accomplishing that.”
The show, a kickoff to Gainesville’s Startup Weekend, will be the first in a series of ToneRite shows. It is the first time ToneRite brings big names to Gainesville, says Sheehan.
“It is absolutely thrilling to be a part of the global phenomenon that is ToneRite,” says Boullt. “As a ToneRite artist endorsee, I’m stoked to be performing with Tony Franklin, Fae and Chad at Startup Weekend.”
Franklin and Boullt will be performing a set of Led Zeppelin covers, as well as other famous rock songs.
