5. List any awards you have won for community service: Leadership Gainesville Alumni Assoc. Courageous Leader Award – 2010-2011; Leadership Gainesville Alumni Assoc. Member of the Year Award – 2012-2013; Alachua County Emerging Leaders Member of the Year Award – 2007
6. What is your definition of success? At the end, to be satisfied with the work you have done, happy with the life you are leading, and loved by the people you are surrounded by. That is my definition of success.
7. What is your greatest professional accomplishment? During my time with the March of Dimes, I worked with amazing volunteers in this community, who together raised millions of dollars to
help all babies be born healthy. I have seen firsthand, the impact of those fundraising efforts, and I am honored to have been a part of it.
8. How do you exemplify the spirit of a Forty Under 40 professional? I hope that I am seen as a strong professional, who believes in building a stronger community through philanthropic efforts, leadership development, and the evolution and growth of Gainesville as a leader in this state. I believe that each of these three areas is what makes Gainesville such an exciting place to live, and it’s where I have focused my professional and extracurricular activities.
9. Businessperson who has most inspired you: I have been lucky to have been surrounded by incredible businesspeople my entire life. Each one has inspired me in different and unique ways. I really cannot say that one person has most inspired me, but multiple people have elevated me along my path in my career. From teachers throughout my childhood, to mentors throughout my career, the list is too long to name.
10. Best advise ever received: Always love what you are doing. It’s when you love your work that you are able to turn your job, into a career with true satisfaction.
11. Greatest professional challenge: My greatest professional accomplishment and my greatest professional challenge are in many ways the same things. Raising hundreds of thousands of dollars annual is a daunting task. A challenge, but a great one!

13. What color crayon would you be? Why? – Chartreuse. It’s bold, bright, and cheerful.
14. Favorite after-work drink: Beer! It goes best after a long run!
15. If I had a magic wand, I’d: use it to organize and clean everything…especially my house!
16. What is your favorite Gadget? As lame an answer as it is, my iPhone. It does everything!
17. How long have you been in Gainesville? Ten years
18. What do you love most about Gainesville/Alachua County? The spirit of volunteerism and philanthropy is a building block for this community. It is an amazing thing to be immersed in.
19. Three things people would be surprised to know about you: When I was younger I was naturally introverted and shy. People who have never met me are always surprised to learn that although I am 6 foot, I NEVER played basketball or volleyball. Sorry! Green in my favorite color.
20. Advice you would give a younger you: Slow down, and enjoy life. (People have been saying that to me my entire life, maybe one day I will listen…)
