Otter-ly Adorable

Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo recently welcomed three adorable baby otters into their zoological family. The zookeepers were ecstatic at the birth of the tiny otter pups, who have since become the zoo’s beloved stars with their playful antics and cute squeaks. Like human parents preparing their children for swim lessons, the otter parents wasted no time introducing their pups to the water. Each otter takes turns gently guiding the little ones through swimming lessons. Visitors are encouraged to witness the growing otter family and enjoy the diverse collection of native and exotic species showcased at the zoo, including Bald Eagles, White-throated capuchin monkeys, American alligators, Matschie’s Tree Kangaroo and Asian small-clawed otters, among others. The zoo’s naturally shaded landscape offers a delightful quarter-mile trail accessible to strollers and wheelchairs.
