Proceeds from GRU’s 16th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament totaling $13,500 will be delivered to Williams Elementary School in the coming weeks. The tournament was held Aug. 22 at Ironwood Golf Course.

Fifty-two golfers and several sponsors, including Consolidated Pipe & Supply Company, Cowboyz Bar-B-Q, D&D Directional Drilling, Hubbell Power Systems, Irby, MCG Energy Solutions, and Novinium helped raise the funds.

“GRU is proud to once again bring our community together in support of these bright young students,” said GRU interim Community Relations Director Yvette Carter.

Williams Elementary has been GRU’s Adopt-a-School since 1997. Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $169,000.
