Gainesville Nightlife: I Got a Feeling, That Tonight’s Going to Be a Good Night

It is no secret that when the sun goes down in Greater Gainesville, the vibrant nightlife scene awakens and preys on those thirsty for adventure.

The student population certainly contributes to its energetic atmosphere, but now more than ever, the area also caters to the growing diverse population. From dives and discos to speakeasies and saloons, there is something for everyone in Greater Gainesville.

The downtown area is particularly popular, with several bars and clubs located within walking distance of each other. Some of the most prominent spots include Loosey’s, The Top, the UC and Main Street Bar and Billiards.

Among the many happening hot spots is Baby J’s. This buzzing jazz bar will transport any jive cat back in time from the moment they step through their Art-deco-laced doors. The dimly lit intimate seating, decadent cocktails, and sultry sounds of the saxophone make this the perfect place for a date night.
