Gainesville’s 352walls/The Gainesville Urban Art Project celebrates Gainesville’s cultural landscape and inspires the community. The beautiful murals feature intricate design and colorful collaborations that have changed the face of Gainesville’s downtown area. Now, visitors and locals alike stroll through the imaginative and thought-provoking downtown as they explore the area through the artists’ minds.
After seeing and photographing urban art around the world, Iryna Kanishcheva was inspired to bring the concept to her community. She then sought out various painters and muralists with international followings within the art community and the support of downtown building owners to bring her project to life.
The artists, to name a few
Interesni Kazki is an art duo that explores surrealism through bright colors, interesting elements and imaginative symbols whose captivating street art is seen all over the world. JAZ, an Argentinian graffiti writer and painter, explores identity and duality through his depictions of man-beast hybrids and paints political or cultural reflections of Latin America. Pastel embraces the identity of the community and celebrates its character by creating a painting that speaks with its surroundings, not for it. Gaia is a mural painter based out of Baltimore whose street art is published in several books and is featured in exhibitions all over the world.
