Sherry Kitchens’ commitment to child safety and advocacy began in 1992 when she joined the Georgia Council on Child Abuse after graduating from Emory University.  In 1993, Sherry and her husband Michael moved to Gainesville where she graduated from UF’s Counselor Education Program with her Master’s and Specialist degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2005, Sherry became the President/CEO of the Child Advocacy Center and brought her quiet, focused leadership to the Center with a goal of ensuring all children and families get the services and care they need during and after child abuse investigations.
