Terry Harrison, long-term Butler Enterprises employee, had been promoted to operations manager. After 32 years in the company, Harrison will supervise the construction at Butler Plaza, Butler North and the impending development of Butler Town Center. “Terry’s experience and knowledge of the property is a vital part for the success of this progression,” said Deborah Butler, president of Butler Enterprises.

Bosshardt Realty Services has employed the use of Matterport’s 3D camera technology for viewing property floor plans online. “We’re excited that Bosshardt Realty will be using Matterport’s 3D technology to give an immersive, photorealistic experience to their property listings as they further their dedication to providing the best service and buying experience to their clients,” said Matterport CEO Bill Brown.

Rory P. Causseaux has been appointed to the Gateway Bank of Central Florida’s Board of Directors. As the CEO and founding principal of CWH, Causseaux has extensive experience in project management and engineering. Danny Gilliland, the market president at Gateway Bank of Central Florida, expressed in a press release that Causseaux “has long demonstrated his abilities as both a business and community leader and is a great addition to our board of directors, where his stewardship and background will help Gateway Bank continue in its mission to deliver top banking services to our customers and the community.”

Belk has announced the finalists for its 2015 Southern Designer Showcase. Among the 20 selected designers are Susannah Peddie and Jacquelyn Brooks with their Gainesville-based company, Strawberry Blonde Clothing. They will be competing for the chance to have their collection sold in certain Belk stores and on belk.com. Their designs will be judged on April 16, 2015, by a panel of Belk judges at the company’s headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Michael V. McKee has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer at the University of Florida. “I am excited and honored to be able to continue to contribute to my alma mater in these new areas of responsibility,” McKee said in a press release. “I welcome the opportunity to participate with the faculty, students, staff and university leaders in continuing UF’s climb to the next level.”

David E. Richardson was appointed to dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida. “I deeply appreciate the opportunity I have been given to work with my colleagues and the students of the University of Florida as it achieves a place among the top institutions in the nation,” Richardson said. “UF Preeminence requires a preeminent College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and I will do all I can to contribute to that mission in the years ahead.”

Body by Boris recently hosted the final 2015 Whole Life Challenge workout. Over 120 individuals participated in the intensive eight-week program designed to build healthier lifestyles. “I am very proud of my team for pushing themselves to the limit, yet never giving up,” said Chris “Boris” Marhefka, owner of Body by Boris.

Michael Okun M.D., neurologist at the University of Florida, will be honored by the White House as a Champion of Change for Parkinson’s disease. “The most important thing about the White House Champions of Change program is that it will help to bring awareness and to galvanize our country to come to the assistance of the over one million Americans with Parkinson’s disease,” Okun said in a recent press release.
