In April 2016, you can dress in your best Hollywood chic and follow the spotlight to the most glamorous event in Gainesville. Bring your sunglasses to shield yourself from the paparazzi while you hit the red carpet at ViVA! 2016 – Haven Goes to Hollywood. Enjoy a Rodeo Drive-themed silent auction space, fabulous cuisine by Blue Water Bay, dancing at the after party and remembering amazing movie classics as you cruise by each dinner table.
“I love going every year,” said ViVA! Committee Co-Chair Mary Sabatella who is the admissions and marketing coordinator for Oak Hammock at the University of Florida, long-time sponsors of the event. “ViVA! is so much fun and such an over-the-top event, and 2016 will certainly have a “wow” factor. ViVA! 2016 Hollywood guests will love this move premier-themed event, and they will be making a difference in other people’s lives.”
ViVA! 2016 Chairperson Marilyn Gray has a personal connection to Haven Hospice and the services they provide. “We feel strongly about the Haven mission because they took care of my mom who had dementia. The staff guided us through the journey, and they let us know what to expect. The experience was so good for my whole family.”
Chairing the ViVA! 2016 brought together Marilyn’s passion for the arts and supporting Haven Hospice. “It all ties together,” said Marilyn who is also a long-time member of the Gainesville Fine Arts Association. “My artist friends contribute their work to the silent auctions which is wonderful, and we are raising monies for Haven patients and families.”
“Haven treats patients with compassion and dignity,” said Mary. “Being a part of that is incredible.” She is also looking forward to attending the event. “I already bought my outfit. I am so excited.”
